Trump and his promotors recognized that there was a wide "bottom line" among the ignorant and gullible and found a way to agitate and unite them in their mindless support of him. It's nothing new-----dictators rise up the same way frequently in third-world countries. It happens even in places like Germany, Italy and Russia. Fortunately, the United States is just too strong and with too many intelligent people for it to take hold here.
