I heard today one of Bidens new orders is sending $1.5 billion dollars over to some foreign countries that are financially unable to purchase the COVID vaccines. What is he thinking? As if WE here don't need the funding? I continue to try to wrap my mind around his decisions pi$$ing away our hard earned tax dollars. That's just tip of the iceberg. As if the expected millions of refugees coming here without jobs, income, living places living free off all of OUR dollars aren't already going to put a huge burden on us. And after this COVID year this is what's in store for us? Holy crud
Just curious, did you have a problem when Trump gave $ billions in respirators to foreign countries, including Russia?
By summer, the US will be swimming in vaccines. Beating Covid means global vaccination.
It also likely means future booster shots for everyone.
As an aside, Russia has offered 300 million doses of the Sputnik Covid vaccine to Africa. No details on when such vaccines would be available. Only a tiny fraction of people in Russia have been vaccinated.

It's all part of biden's "America is back!" campaign. Yup, were back with our checkbook (well, except to Iran...we'll give them an airplane of cold, hard U.S. currency) to spend on other countries and be the world's biggest sucker. It sure was nice for four years when we had a President that put America first!
Translation from BDS to plain English: Biden wants to send some money overseas to help some of the world's poorest countries with their covid vaccine plans, because he sees non-Americans as human beings and does not have the same America-against-the-world attitude of his predecessor. I don't like it one bit!
Yup, it's really sad the right-wingers really think that way.
"President Joe Biden will announce during a Group of Seven call on Friday that the U.S. will commit $2 billion immediately to the program and pledge another $2 billion with conditions designed to spur contributions from other countries, said the officials, who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity."
But don't blame Biden:
"The funding, which was allocated by Congress in December,...."
Isn't it refreshing to read so many conservative republicans, many christians, promoting that good old christian theme, "give only unto thyself."
Now with the dems in office the republicans once again become fiscally responsible. They didn't mind dumping 8 trillion on the wealthy to please their dear leader Trump. Now with President Biden they swing the other way. It's the republican thing to do!
