I was in a big box store today when the announcement was made there were three coronavirus shots available at the pharmacy on a first come first serve basis. Fifteen minutes later, the same announcement was made. Half an hour later as I was going out the door, I heard it again. How many hours did people used to stand in line for this?

There is no vaccine shortage so this is just people trying to drum up some good ol "oh noes the blacks!" nonsense. If you want a vaccination in WA the only major barriers tend to be if you dont own a vehicle, or know someone who can take you to be vaccinated in some rural areas.

^ this I agree. It's a public relations thing. Lots of other places closer to their target market and still serve everyone else.
