Does this seem reasonable to you? If masks really help that much shouldn't we allow this as self defense?

Prosecutors charged him with attempted murder, aggravated battery by discharging a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
This got my attention. How in the hell does a "felon" attain a weapon and employment as a "security" guard?

Edit: Chicago. Disregard the question.

It’s Chicago. Need I say more?

Yeah, I didn't put the two together until I reread the article.

The irony here being that under natural law there actually could be a justification for the INITIAL shooting.

Quote:
Holmes (security guard) and the victim argued about the mask policy and the victim eventually left. He then turned around and walked back in. When he did, Holmes met him with a drawn handgun and shot him, Auguste said.

Violation of property rights is the highest of all crimes after homicide. Unfortunately statist law doesn’t consider property rights of any importance ergo the use of this “no mask is a weapon” argument.

In any event, I’m very pleased a violator of natural rights was shot.

The latest mask study claims to prove masks work.

Quote:
The effectiveness of surgical masks was confirmed in a new study conducted by Yale and Stanford researchers that tracked more than 340,000 adults in Bangladesh. Among the subset of people who wore masks, there was a 9.3% reduction in symptomatic COVID; those who did get sick experienced a 11.9% reduction in COVID symptoms. The study’s authors believe symptomatic infections would have decreased even more dramatically if everybody in the sample group wore a mask.

But notice the study says

Quote:
In control villages 24.1% of observed individuals practiced physical distancing compared to 29.2% in intervention villages[...

we estimate a roughly 10% decline in symptomatic seroprevalence in the treatment group.
It was likely the increased social distancing that lead to the 10% reduction in covid.

There was a thread last week about an LAPD cop punched a handcuffed & maskless dude in the face after he spit (yes, SPIT as in bodily fluid) at the cop. The anti-cop/pro-mask leftists want that cop’s head on the plate.
