I'm going to miss the FBI agent who spies on me through my smart phone, my webcam on my laptop, and goes through my computer files.

Some days I wave, other days I flip him off. We have that kind of relationship.

Default A John Durham investigation you may have missed.

https://technofog.substack.com/p/whe...-four-innocent

In October, 1967, one Joseph Salvati was arrested for murder in Boston, where he lived with his wife Marie and 4 children. Marie said "my legs turned to jelly" when she learned of the arrest from a neigbor.

It turned out that Salvati had been framed and railroaded by the FBI and their Boston Mob associates. The FBI had evidence of who the actual killers were, but buried it. About 30 years later, US attorney John Durham uncovered the evidence in a different investigation. Gov. William Weld (R,MA) commuted Salvati's sentence based on Durham's findings, and eventually the conviction was overturned. He did 30 years in prison, thanks to the FBI.

Why did the FBI do this? They were on the take from the Boston mob. One agent had a $400,000 home, and a $300,000 vacation home in Cape Cod, purchased on a $60,000/yr FBI salary.

Salvati's wife stood by him for those 30 years, and a lawyer fought his case pro-bono. After he got out, Joseph and Marie, ages 68 and 66, took a vacation to Aruba. Marie said it was their 'second honeymoon.' Makes one wonder how many others are out there who didn't have such a loyal wife and lawyer.

The FBI is the primary law enforcement agency for the federal government. I didn’t realize right wingers were for defunding corrupt and abusive police.

You may need to get out more. Right-wingers have been sounding this alarm for over 20 years, not just about the FBI but also the BATF.

It also is key not to conflate national and state/local police. Again, the FBI were not even allowed to carry guns until around 1935, due to congressional fears about a national secret police. Prior to 1935, the FBI was supposed to coordinate with local police when armed security was needed.

You mean the wrongful actions of being agents of the Left no doubt.

The only reason the FBI was created in the first place, was to go after political opponents with digging dirt.

This is close to true. FBI agents broke into the homes of two Democrat Senators during the Harding admin (1920). They didn't yet call it the FBI, but it was the same agency.

The Senators were looking into the Teapot Dome scandal, and the agents/burglars were trying to dig up dirt on them, presumably to strong arm them into backing off.
