With the results of the national election still coming in, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Sunday night claimed victory, telling a crowd of supporters that his win is "so big that you can see it from the moon, and you can certainly see it from Brussels."

This was a reference to the European Union. The right-wing Orbán routinely clashes with the EU, and over his last 12 years in power, he has been a vocal critic of migrants and LGBTQ rights and taken control of several of Hungary's democratic institutions, The Associated Press reports.

"The whole world has seen tonight in Budapest that Christian democratic politics, conservative civic politics, and patriotic politics have won," Orbán told supporters. "We are telling Europe that this is not the past, this is the future."

I think I've heard these dog whistles before... good luck to the Hungarians, seems like something nefarious may be in the works.

Hungarians are stuck between two choices...

1. Accept western globalism and agree to such things as: 8 yr old kids getting sex change operations, wokism, identity politics, mass immigration, radical feminism, and agree to replace your ethnic population with non-white immigrants because: "white people evil cuz slavery".

or...

2. Side with Vladimir Putin, who is trying to reinvigorate traditionalism & monotheism within Russia, rejects western globalism, and stands against radical feminism & wokism. Russia also recently suggested that they may be backing their Ruble with gold in the near future. A gold backed Ruble could prove to be a desirable alternative to the petro-dollar which is slowly declining in popularity.

The reality is that Americanism or McDonald's globalism is not as popular as some believe it to be.
Not all nations on planet Earth want to throw away their traditions and become woke consumerist zombies.

I always wonder what would happened had the EU not tried to force Eastern Europe to take Syrian refugees.

Note if you actually read Hungarian press, they are more along the lines of a nationalist/ Hungarian culturalist mindset. Yes there is quite a bit of xenophobia, but actually read what they say. Their position is more along the lines of not helping Ukraine than supporting Russia. They have backed some of the sanctions.

Is he really pro Putin or is that just propaganda against someone who is anti-globalist?
