Tap water isn't free. There's a water bill.
There's also situations like these:
Six Years Later Doesn't Have Clean Water
The Fix for Water Contamination Near Luke Air Force Base is Months Behind Schedule. Here's Why
Water Contamination On Military Bases Isn’t New. And That’s A Problem

Or situtations during say hurricanes or other natural disasters.

I mean I get it, it is a meme and a common trope to attack bottled water. I somewhat get it but honestly living in Arizona, I've seen tap water come out cloudy from time to time. Arizona water can also go hard. I do drink bottled water, often times it is more so from electrolyte water (with or without flavor) or Liquid Death canned water.

Big business, and profits created this situation. And unfair and unethical behaviors on the part of the huge formula companies.

Pay attention.

Why did the GOP cry about formula being set to 'Illegal Babies', then vote no on the bill to ease the baby formula shortage to help American babies?
Because capitalism inevitably ends up with a few huge corporations having a whole bunch of power.

Look I'm not a liberal share the wealth kid. I'm all in on the capitalism concept....I work hard make more money.

Reality -- anything we NEED -- somehow becomes a monopoly -- utilities, for example.

I don't know why.....

1. There was no evidence the babies got sick from the formula. 2. The factory was shut down for unrelated sanitation issues that the FDA did not like. 3. When you use a "just in time" system to delivery of products and do not store a bunch in warehouses then any production issues cause an almost immediate shortage. You have no buffer of stuff stored somewhere. 4. To prevent this in the future from a personal level, lay in a stock of stuff that you MUST HAVE. At least three months worth.

Human nature creates every situation we face in life. If there's something wrong, human nature created it. If there's something right, human nature created it. You can trace everything back to that. Life happens, and we react.
