Psychiatry is a bit of a squishy science, so such a test could be easily manipulate to exclude candidates unfairly. But theoretically, yes, it would be nice to know if someone running for office is a nutjob.

I do not think that we need a psychiatric test but a better test would be that any candidate has to prove that for one week they can run a successful Lemonade stand.
