They are Democrats. They can get away with lots of things that a GOP can’t. They have the media, social media, tech, entertainment, sports industries on their side so they never get anywhere near the same negative press that a GOP would get.
How did DA’s get so much power that they can just ignore laws?
I think they were elected by their respective constituencies.
The question you should ask is why would Manhattanites elect a monster like Alvin Bragg in the first place? Ditto for Los Angeles, Philly, Chicago and other places.
The next question is how in the world they can all be happy with it?
What? Be more specific so people can comment. Instead of punching at a bag of feathers.
Just because you don’t get it doesn’t mean anyone is punching a bag of feathers (whatever the hell that means). To make it simple for you, the DA’s getaway with ignoring laws because they are Democrats. The mainstream media, which is on their side, does not make a big deal of their activism so there’s very little public outcry.
Imagine now if it was GOP DA’s giving criminals free passes while prosecuting victims, the media would go on and on about how the DA’s are not protecting the public, how the DA’s are radical, etc. and the public would be outraged.
The media, social media and Hollywood are all liberal dominated industries. Most of the public get their info from them hence they can manipulate public opinion.

Most DA races a barely competitive. Total spending per candidate per election is usually somewhere in the five figure. Into this electoral wasteland strides George Soros. He's willing to spend millions on these races. So his candidates can essentially run opposed. I have no idea if Brag had any primary challengers, and the Republican candidate, if there even was one, never stood a chance in Manhattan.

I’m with manigault. Which DAs? What laws are they ignoring? Which victims are being prosecuted?
As for money buying votes, look to your Republican Representatives, who fight tooth and nail against every effort at campaign finance reform.
