This has nothing to do with COVID in my personal opinion, there was very little inflation during COVID when Trump was President.
The seeds for inflation were planted with shortages started with toilet paper and shortages due plant closures due to ill employees and all the helicopter money handed out. All the extra unemployment money and the eviction moratoriums. As well as all the spending programs the dems enacted since Biden has been in office. And the near zero interest rates for more than a decade did not help. And even with all this pressure on prices it took over a year for inflation to start to kick it.
It wasn’t too long ago even if you were poor you could buy a plot of land throw a trailer on it, own a decent truck, shop at Walmart and live a pretty good life. Foreigners used to post YouTube videos inside of our retailers amazed at how affordable and abundant everything was. The precovid US system had some real benefits. We shouldn’t have taken that for granted. Will things ever go back to the way they were? I enjoyed rampant consumerism.
Poverty rates are way lower today than back in the glorious past you're recalling.

LOL, not sure what planet you are living on.... but guess you havent rented an apartment lately or been in a grocery store. Remember George Bush senior being amazed when he first saw the price scanners in grocery stores when they had been around for years. Guessing some here are channeling his vibe. They just let Jeeves do the shopping.
By way Vlad-lite will sell you a slightly used steak out of the trunk of his car. Aged without refrigeration needed. Sliced off former political enemies.
The planet where I can look at stats on poverty rates from previous decades versus today and draw a conclusion instead of relying on personal anecdotes.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Boston's North End for dinner. Every restaurant (and there are dozens) was packed, people were waiting in lines to get in. American consumers are not hurting.
Not with this current administration pulling the levers... Brandon and the democrats have seized on the opportunities provided to make bad situations worse all over America, and all over the world.
LOL. I dont think they actually know, its just what the propaganda tells them, and they line up like sheep to repeat it. But expect a answer like:
1. hes part of some global conspiracy to lower the worlds population
2. He hates people.

That is an interesting observation.
Based on some crowded restaurant in Boston, a few weeks ago that is reflective of the entire American economy?
One street on the North end of Boston is reflective of the entire economy?
One neighborhood in a city with alot of it's economy based on government subsidies for employment having full restaurant, during the night you were there is reflective of the entire USA economy?

That is not representative of the population in any way.
They want higher prices to pay for all the crap they are demanding like $15 min wage, "social justice", green new deal, etc. All of that stuff is very expensive and will require American consumers to dig deep... Very deep. Unfortunately, the left is just now remembering that American consumers down have bottomless pockets full of money.
Eventually, when the price gets to a certain point, consumers will just say no. They will pay more if their paychecks are growing, but they have not been growing anywhere near as fast as what would be required for democrats to be satisfied. So, democrats have moved on to destroying the country for some reason, because if they can't get what they want, they just destroy stuff. Their "summer of love" a couple years back is a good example.
