They were ordinary, not blood thirsty monsters. They accused innocent people of crimes which were not true and ultimately step by step, each one simple, killed millions.

Merritt Garland is not a monster. He is just following the steps. Just a lawyer using the laws against A loved President.

" This picture was consistent with the common view of Nazis at the time: They were the embodiment of evil, the point at which reality merged with melodrama and kitsch. But Arendt saw something else. Eichmann, responsible for transporting millions of Jews to the death camps, was essentially a bureaucrat, with little more on his mind than pleasing his superiors. He was neither fanatical nor bloodthirsty, in fact had never directly killed anyone. He made trains run on time. Yet he was indisputably a mass murderer, and in the articles she wrote for The New Yorker, as well as in "Eichmann in Jerusalem," the book that followed, Hannah Arendt introduced a phrase to describe him that has become part of the modern vocabulary - "the banality of evil." Banal is unassuming almost casual and it killed millions. And now the banal actions in Mir Lago are just steps ordinary and legal. Or, are they?

Just another step. Just MSNBC saying President Trump has nuclear codes. Another step.

Think it over.....

The issue is fanaticism, and the absolute belief you are on the side of right and doing good. I heard it mentioned that the left thinks that conservatives and those on the right are EVIL and the right simply thinks the left is WRONG. When you truly believe someone or something is Evil you think any action you take is morally justified for the greater good.

What is scary about the parallels is that if you read the biographies of the high ranking Nazis who were responsible for the worst of their atrocities (the high command of the SS, Gestapo, etc), they were not psychos who broke out of asylums. Most were well-educated, "normal" people (until they became monsters). Engineers, doctors, scientists, businessmen, etc. Some were even just benign "chicken farmers." Read Himmler's biography. What all these "normal people" had in common is that they were all just "following orders" and were susceptible to propaganda. Some otherwise normal people can become the worst monsters in history when, in their minds, they are just "following orders." And when the regime itself has become patently evil, it doesn't turn out well. That's exactly the road we are going down now.

I've heard from modern day communists who will brag about how their ranks include doctors, engineers, etc. Yes, we've seen all this before, but we aren't supposed to point it out because the other side will just call us Nazis. See how that works??? The ol I'm rubber, you're glue defense. When it comes to that point, arguing is pointless. Facts and reason go out the window. Emotions are everything. Nobody wins at that point. Usually confusion, hard times and war follows, if logic doesn't find a way to prevail.

If we go the way of Nazi Germany then it will be spawned not by the AG or law enforcement but from Congress's inaction to get anything done for the American people, the rest is a boilover effect.

There is no way a country can survive when the elected representatives of the people's approval rating are only 17% for years. The American people of ALL POLITICAL LEANINGS feel they have 0 voice or say as to what Congress does from day to day. We see bail out after bail out to Corporations, other countries, and industries like Airlines, yet find there is little for them when they need some help.

It builds a false sense of scarcity which causes Americans to fight amongst each other while Wheel Barrows of money are carted off to special pet projects, contractors, and foreign governments. Our elected leaders are not serious about doing anything for the American people as a whole unless they can line their own pockets in the process.

We don't crack down on corruption, don't ban Federal workers from going right into industries they were just regulating to prevent favorable policies for that industry, on and on.

While many people feel this will lead to a Civil War, I instead believe it will eventually cause a revolt that will lead to people of ALL parties to march on Congress, something I don't think will be good because who knows what that leads to, but I also don't see Congress changing with all the money sloshing around in Washington.

For instance, Joe Manchin put the Democrats over the coals and lied to Republicans on the Infrastructure bill so he could get a Pipeline in West Virginia which will not help the citizens of West Virginia one bit, but it will line his and his special interest buddies pockets. He basically ripped off both parties and the American people for a pet project, multiply that problem by X500 congressmen and you can see the extent of the problem.

First they came for my neighbor and I did not say anything. Next they came for my other neighbor and I didn't say anything. Then they came for me and there was no one left to say anything. I'm paraphrasing but it was a pretty powerful quote from a witness to the Nazi rise to power and slaughter of innocents.

Hitler had the media, he had the education system, he had the military, the police, he turned millions of citizens against their fellow citizens by casting them as monsters or less than humans like Neanderthals, like Deplorables. Hitler divided the masses and if you were not on his side then you were useless and rounded up.

Boy this sounds familiar except for the Democrats having the Police on their side but they are still defunding them and convincing the mob that they are racist enemies of the People.

We have a 2 tier justice system and that is a problem.

As I've said before in talking with holocaust survivors. "It was herd mentality."

You know the rest.
