So I mean they are already well off and they would have capital each one …. The per capita net worth on this new country would start off over a million dollars per capita
And any equality or social safety net terms would not take from anyone to give to anyone else since they are all well off individually and nobody is poor
It would be like a club so to speak. Would this enclave if they adopted social democracy with lots of sharing resources, remain vibrant 30 years later and be like a sort of Finland or Sweden or Denmark or would it face new challenges, considering they are all high tech expats and they are all free to hire low-skilled labor to serve the island and pay a min wage of $30/hour
Would the low wage help they import also be economically and socially equal? Who would supply their needs? Who would do the work?
They Have a 50% income tax base and say they work for tech companies using 5g and Wi-Fi hotspots on the Island
Their needs are supplied by a combination of robot automation systems they themselves programmed and purchased with the tax base of the island’s public revenue which is in fine shape
The foreign workers all receive $30 an hour minimum … and usually paid $60 an hour yet …. With free healthcare and paid parental leave equal to Denmark .
They would probably if this were a real island like this , the US would not cut them off from the country but they would be possibly interested in making a deal with the island, perhaps one where they would not have to organize a national defense but instead would have to pay a fee for US to cover their bases. Next they would probably contract with the island over R&D and robot AI …. Actually this island sounds like a place that actually exists it would be like some hybrid of a Nordic country, Israel, and an old restricted wealth enclave like Liechtenstein
It also resembles some country clubs in Florida where everyone is well off to own there but membership fees for the clubhouse and amenities are very high and it’s like a country club tax that redistributes equal use of amenities to each resident , and where there may be building code restrictions and independent provisions from the municipality but they succumb to that for a collective good of the decorative appeal.

For decades people have tried to create Hippy Commune's and Utopia's. They have always failed because nobody wanted to actually work to keep the thing going. A few people end up doing all the required work, and there always is work, while others just sat around all day. That only lasts so long before it falls apart. It's amazing how many who want such a "utopia" are the one's who think they are going to be able to sit around all day smoke pot, play video games or just watch The View. They think everything will get done as if by magic, in otherwords let the "rich" pay for it.
The math never works out when you have more takers than givers. Eventually you run out of OPM.
