While I disagree with Rhodes actions and the actions of the right wing maga army extremists who sacked our Capitol and tried to destroy our election. It is abundantly clear that Free Speech in America is dead.
The guy never even entered the Capitol. He stayed outside. Yet he has been convicted of sedition and conspiracy for WORDS he wrote on the internet.
This may be my last post. Anything you say or have EVER said, WILL be held against you by the authoritarian police state. Even if you have changed your mind / view since. It doesn't matter which party is in power, both are turning into fascists and the People have now clearly become the enemy of the State.
Nice weather we are having in Milwaukee. How are those Cubs doing?
Sedition
conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.
He is guilty of both definitions of sedition. Hopefully he gets the max.
Perhaps they could spring (from a maximum security federal prison cell) a less dangerous criminal like a multiple murderer street gang thug in order to house this Hitler's Second Coming Satan wanna be for the next fifty years until he has paid his dues for toppling our government.
I heard (on nationally syndicated radio) that they found no evidence of any plan to take over the capital....if so, the entire Trump 1-6 investigation is another witch hunt that will cost the taxpayers Millions.
A few right wing nutjobs did some stupid illegal stuff in DC on 1-6, but no conspiracy to plan to take over anything.
“Seditious Conspiracy” means he was working with other people to commit sedition. There was a further burden of proof on the prosecutor to prove more than one acted together.
Either way, 20 years is 20 years. Now we find out if he’s ready to talk about his experiences to try to get a reduction.

What experiences would that be, and please be specific?
40, both the obstruction and seditious conspiracy charges carry up to 20 years. He won't get the full book, obstruction is pretty common and that seems to be going for around 3-6 years on the high end. Rhodes didn't commit any violence but he'll probably get the sharper end of the stick for inciting it. If we're playing "Wheel or Verdict" I'd go for 15 years.

Oh like say that Trump encouraged him so Congress can do something ?
And the "we"...are you personally going to grill him ?
