You Tell-um Quick.... Start your own thread~!

The Mayor of Miami is Republican...but Miami-Dade County has a DemocRAT mayor...She was elected in 2020.

Even though she is 'the County Mayor'--- she still has influence over the way crimes are prosecuted. NOT TO MENTION, she's 'very liberal' and is all for Bail Reform.

I repeat the TITLE of the thread, "12 major 'DEMOCRAT RUN' cities hit all-time homicide records ~!"

If you want to talk about repubs, start your own thread.

They ARE defunding the police in Minneapolis. They are stealing $3M from the budget and handing it over to all these crooked “reverends” (everyone is either a criminal or a religious leader in Minneapolis these days) for this “violence interruption” nonsense.

^^^deflection...please stay on topic..."DEMOCRAT RUN" cities is what the OP wants to discuss.

In Dem run cities, its not 1 thing/policy that causes high crime, but a myriad of policies. Lax law enforcement & punishment are at the top, but the root cause is poor schools/education, which is due mostly to teachers unions, & broken families...no Dads around.

Certainly not the 12 largest but Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Jacksonville all have high homicide rates and republican mayors.

Total garbage.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minneapolis Police Department’s budget has expanded despite calls to reduce funding for law enforcement in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

The Star Tribune reported Saturday that the department currently has a $196 million budget, up about $3 million from the beginning of 2020.

Exactly. These lists always come up short.

They should overlay demographics. Income/race/age/education level.

If you take funds out of the budget and then add them back at a later date... that's gives a false impression of NOT defunding the police.

It's important to look at crime in major cities over an extended period of time... IMO. https://katv.com/news/nation-world/a...t-cities-in-us What happens all to often, is the left uses the entire state crime stat to dilute the truth. It's cities, urban areas in general, that are the real problem. Always have been, always will be.

Now... the reality is crime was much higher in the 90's over all, and that's why we had the 1994 Crime Bill. It made a difference. However since then much has changed and we're finding our way back to higher crime rates once again.

Cities/urban areas should always be the focus.

So what did the police do? They pulled back. They're humans too. They're not going to risk their career and/or freedom over some political BS. And as a result, crime spiked across the board, especially in jurisdictions that are controlled by democrats.

The rise in crime lies directly on the Democrats and their actions. Period.
