I'm not really convinced that millennials are 'moving to the Right'.
What I believe is happening is that Democrats are moving further Left, so centrist millennials who don't wanna move Left are being deposited (behind) in the Republican party.
I guess these numbers are encouraging for Republican votes, except that it may water down any true potential for (R)s moving more conservative?
They should all come to Florida! Along with everyone else who is trying to move here en masse. Bunch of rightwingers. Bunch of 4chan ers. Including the homeless who are about to vote out their benefits and social security because its socialism. I'm a flaming liberal but even I don't want to support these numbskulls if they're so determined to not receive any money. For their beer cigarettes and lottery tickets.
I am always stunned how many peolpe don't move to the right, and continue voting Democrat when they are in cities with soaring crime and homeless, filled with a new wave of illegal immigrants displacing Americans.
I expect nothing less, but if they were intelligent, everything going on should have made them question their previous voting habits.
They voted for Democrats who defunded police, removed their tools, and hamstrung them, causing a reluctance by police to bother arresting criminals.
They voted for Democrats who installed woke DAs who are soft on crime, don't hold criminals to trial, don't prosecute crimes, and bargain please down to a slap on the wrist. This is why shoplifting has become entrenched, why shoplifting is being done in massive, widespread ways by organized crime, and why violent criminals are getting younger and younger, down to 11 year old murderers. They are robbing people at ATMs. They are robbing people from motorcycles. They are following people from the bank to their upscale suburban homes and robbing them.
They voted for Democrats who have encouraged homeless migration to their cities by making city sidewalks open air drug markets. They supply needles. They supply assistance. Everyone gets a free tent, and it is a nice tent. I wish I had such a nice tent when I graduated from college.
They voted for Democrats who made their cities Sanctuary Cities, and are not welcoming tens of thousands of illegal immigrants and putting them up in hotels for millions of dollars per month, or packing them into local school gyms that students can no longer use.
I am constantly baffled why more liberals are not transitioning to conservatism and voting for someone other than the Democrat politician on the ballot. I don't think it is sane or rational.
Oh, my bad - I have a habit of posting, then reading what I posted, and later editing it. Note that I slightly differ with your editorialization of the article proffered - some have moved right, but the majority are still voting Democratic.
I should also point out that the baseline established is for the 2008 elections, which were a modern high-water point for the Democratic party with regards to voting. I see it more as a regression to the mean than a seismic shift in voting patterns.
And it really is a question as to why they still vote Democrat. The dems are pushing the trans insanity, supporting violent movements like BLM, siding with those who want to censor and limit freedom of speech, promoted defunding the police, throwing open the borders and flooding the nation with millions of illegals, not counting the "gotaways." The Democratic Party is turning into government-corporate fascists who have no respect our laws, and yet "the majority of Millennials are still voting Democratic?"
When you have nothing to lose then it's great to be a Progressive and cheer higher taxes for people with money.
But once YOU have some money you get a bit more conservative because you don't want higher taxes.
The change in attitude is as old as time itself. People come to realize that the "rich" never really pay higher taxes; that always falls to the middle class.
Just take a look at the Federal Government revenue breakdown...52% of revenue comes from individual income taxes.

Because this is a dystopian fantasy derived in your own head. I live in the city, or metroplex rather. And while there has definitely been some homeless problems in the most recent years, that is largely due to drug addiction (access to drugs a la pharmaceuticals) and massive cutbacks on mental health spending. I pay more taxes than your typical rural bumpkin, but I also get a great ROI through the services and amenities offered. Despite what you think, many cities are not the cesspools you envision.
The fact is, the "rich" already pay the bulk of the taxes.
I understand that but that is not what I meant.
Think of Elizabeth Warren..."tax the wealthy"
Think of Warren Buffet ..."tax the wealthy"
Think of Congress critters.."we're gonna tax the wealthy"
As if the rich people will get more taxes piled on them instead of us.
Only it turns out to be ALL OF US...not just the wealthy.
