What is weird about having a Pride Month and putting up decorations and all of that to welcome and show respect for the LGBQTIxyz crowd is, what happens the other 11 months of the year?
Are these people not welcomed into stores and coffee shops? Are they forced back into the closets? Is it unsafe for them to go out in public? Is this when the supposed Trans Genocide takes place?
Does it really matter if a business flies a rainbow flag in June?
I suppose the majority of people that frequent Starbucks are the Left leaning sorts and they do like to celebrate the Trans etc...
I wonder if Starbucks is allowed to put up any decorations for July 4th and if not will the employees threaten to strike over that too?
I'm a live and let be person. Starbucks is a franchise and most are uniform same across the country. It is up to corporate if they want to add LGBTQ finishes throughout it's stores. Ans yes I'm sure Starbucks supports LGBTQ initiatives, but thier is always a limit. With that said. I understand this push for LGBTQ in the United States and wider white Anglosphere comes from academia. From academia this way if thinking especially to be a responsive global citizen and to be an ally of the voiceless and oppressed filters into the work place after graduation and filters into other institutions like education departments. What we learn in school might be great here, but be careful of too much moral finger wangering it can cause a conflict. Sadly this moral finger wangering is now causing issue with Starbucks and right to have LGBTQ flags in its franchises. I wonder if such people will push Starbucks to have LGBTQ flags in Asian, African, middle eastern and eastern European branches?
No, Starbucks doesn't normally do franchises. AFAIK, the only exception they made is with Magic Johnson and he sold his 100 - 105 Starbucks in 2010.
They have company owned stores, and they have licensed stores.
Licensing allows Starbucks to have more control than with franchising.
As of Q2 2021, there were just under 33,000 stores worldwide.
What could possibly make you think that? We have Americans today that don't know the difference between male and female. That think pedophilia is something to embrace and endorse in our schools. And put a demented old fool in the Oval Office. Worse, some think socialism is a good thing! Pretty sure we're not getting smarter!
In fact, do some research. IQ has been dropping for at least a century. Even in (somewhat) modern history, the SAT tests and scoring were "dumbed down", in the 1980s due to this.

Those of us who took it before the recalibration, can add 100 points when comparing to the 'after people'. IIRC, this was because the mean declined, over a long period of time, by 100 points, so they recalibrated the test.

Leftists are rabidly anti American so no worries on them wanting 4th of July decorations but a huge firecracker may be in order.
Here, "Scooters" seems to get most of the business with their drive-thru. I am guessing that other businesses selling coffee and whatever they sell at those places hope they put up the "Rainbow", as everyone else would be happy for the business.

In some of those Countries, the LGBQT flag would probably cause them to get firebombed and the employees ending up beheaded. But the United States is the Country that is Transphobic where Trans people fear for their safety...
