Why should people be able to vote for the candidates who take money from other people and give it to them as handouts?

Because they are still citizens, they are still human beings, and they still pay tax on what they buy.

That's really stretching to call them "tax payers"

It is a legal way to steal money from other people.

My post said, "receive more in government "benefits" than they pay in". That includes all taxes including sales taxes.

Also, they are paying that sales tax on money taken from other people.

I don't feel stolen from. I feel grateful to be able to help someone. Many recipients of aid are children. Many are the elderly. We are lucky to be in a position where we pay taxes...beats the alternative.
