He should pick Rand Paul. That might bring in libertarian voters, who might vote a Trump/Paul ticket hoping that Trump would be removed and Paul would then become president.

Why not? Isn't she an Independent now? She's smart, articulate, served her country in several capacities including the military and she's not bad on the eyes. To me she does not lean far left but instead much more center. She would appeal to many. Not another neocon or Marxist.
