At least the VP won't be able to waste money on Ukraine.
Its a powerless position, because President Trump will never be swayed by a VP on that matter in particular.

Because he's single? I think I know why you say it, but that's just way (way) down the list of things this 'social conservative' might be concerned with.

Ditto above ClaraC.

I think he should pick Mark Levin or Tucker Carlson, some highly praised and respectable folk.

To ho or the OPs very valid topic, Tim Scott would be very fine with me.

There are articles of donors reluctant to support Scott because of him being single. I don't know how prevalent this issue and I find it amusing but even Scott has called it out.

Anyways, I like the idea of Scott just so that I can see Whoopi Goldberg and Sonny Hostin explode with comments with underlying tones that oh no Trump can't do that, Scott can't do that, we are the voices of what is racist and what is not, and we say Biden and that's final.

The Vice President doesn't work for the President, and therefore there can be no orders for the VP to follow.

Marsha Blackburn or Nancy Mace might be worth considering.

It's a powerless position but still an important and visible one. Often, the VP is the front runner of the next election and represents future of the party. (Bush, Al Gore, Biden as VPs getting their Party's nomination in recent history)

Agree that Scott's decision on Ukraine won't matter if Trump is elected as Trump plans on dealing with Putin immediately anyways. And Scott's mild-mannered personality isn't like Haley to try to angle his differing position in.

Anyways, I recall reading Trump has hinted for a woman VP and Noem has already endorsed Trump. She seems like she could be the top candidate for running mate.

Scott also certified Biden, so I'm not sure if Trump would view him as loyal to select him in the first place.

To my knowledge, Trump hasn't kept people of color at high rank positions in the past as well, but it would be nice to see if he did select Scott.

Trump had Ben Carson - Housing and Urban Development.
I'm happy with Kristi Noem for VP, good to hear.
