Quote:
One ripple effect of the Israel-Gaza war is the warp-speed unraveling of relations between President Biden and some of his most loyal voters: Muslims and Arab Americans.

This week at the White House encapsulated the strains, beginning with a listening session for frustrated administration personnel from those communities and ending with a controversial meeting between the president and five Muslim figures picked by the White House who had faced enormous pressure from activists to decline in protest.

Elections have consequences. Both the Arab and Jewish communities are starting to see the true side of Democrats: only pandering to each for their votes and nothing more. Playing off each side like a fiddle.

Progressives can't please everyone, as everyone can't be a victim, and this conflict has revealed it.

conversely, conservatives will never go to the biden side for the sake of Israel.

if republicans were smart they would start a targeted campaign towards Muslims reminding them of how friendly democrats are to lgbt people and Israel. they may not come to the republicans, but at least they can be pulled away from the democrats.

but republicans are pretty much useless in many ways including this so i am just wasting keystrokes on hypothetical suggestions

Why risk upseting the Jewish and Lgbt vote they (Rep) have by siding with the Muslims who likely aren't voting Rep. anyway. They don't need to be peeled away from Biden.

A percentage might simply decide to sit 2024 out.

another curious thing that I have noticed in our post 911 world we were constantly lectured by the media to not be Islamophobic and how not all Muslims are terrorists. conversely, why is the media not lecturing us in the same fashion that not all Jewish people support Israel and for the pro-Palestiners to not be anti-Semitic?

the problem with their 'everyone against Whitey' strategy is that all of those groups also hate each other.

I personally would like the U.S. to become MUCH more neutral and stop supporting other countries, period, and also stop supporting those people who come here illegally to escape some of those countries.

Of course, I know all (or at least most) of the arguments against that way of thinking, though, so please spare me the rebuttals.

Biden's support has slipped 11 points among Democrats, btw. https://www.city-data.com/forum/poli...mong-dems.html

I wonder (and hope) that many of these people will support other candidates if Biden is the 2024 candidate. (I am beginning to think that this might be an excuse for the DNC to pick someone else.)

How is this a shock? Nation of Islam has a wedge in the democratic party, they just had to start hiding it and disavowing it wink wink about 15-20 years ago.

Their ranks are still full of NOI supporters and allies despite it being the largest hate group in the US.

This is not new information, been sharing this here for years.

Their HQ is on the south side of CHicago a mile from where the Obama presidential library is going in.

Crazy huh, the big threat is "white supremacy", so much so that NYC had to form a Asian hate crime task force...and then after the election quietly mumbled about not wanting to release attacker information and causing "minority tensions".

Stop politicizing racism and giving out free passes to accomodate memes.

Sitting on both chairs becomes more and more impossible in the developing situation.
