The Shameful Silence of Progressive "Anti-Racists" (Palestinians, Israeli, activist)

The oldest hatred is making a grim and dangerous comeback – and yet so many organisations, ostensibly dedicated to equality and racial justice, find it impossible to confront. They would prefer to spend time and resources trawling through the social-media activity of Tory candidate for London mayor Susan Hall or worrying about ‘climate racism’ than addressing the clear and present danger facing Britain’s Jewish population.
One reason many social-justice activists seem to find modern anti-Semitism so difficult to confront is that their idea of ‘anti-racism’ is not based on universalist principles of justice and freedom. It’s based instead on identity politics and critical race theory. From this perspective, Jews are too ‘white’ and too ‘privileged’ to fit neatly into this hierarchy of race-based victimhood – especially when the Jews in question are being targeted by those who claim to be on the side of Palestinians, who are seen as fighting ‘oppressors’ on behalf of the oppressed.
Thanks to the grim logic of identity politics, anti-Semitism has come to be seen as a lesser form of racism, and Jews as the ‘wrong’ kind of victim. This is a shameful development.
“There is a grave danger that what we are witnessing may be a repeat of the 1948 Nakba, and the 1967 Naksa, yet on a larger scale. The international community must do everything to stop this from happening again,” the UN expert said. She noted that Israeli public officials have openly advocated for another Nakba, the term for the events of 1947-1949 when over 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes and lands during the hostilities that led to the establishment of the State of Israel. The Naksa, which led to Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in 1967, displaced 350,000 Palestinians."
That is a good article about the conflict from the beginning to the present.
***One needs to read about what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians, and others based on race and religion. So, get a clue! Defending "God's chosen people"? God would not support the continued actions of Israel, and not have a "chosen" people either.
I do not support the violation of civil and human rights of anyone.
"I also wrote God’s Favorites in the perhaps naïve hope that just as many of us—scholars and students, believers and nonbelievers, Jews and Christians and others—have given up creationism, patriarchy, and homophobia (despite what the Bible says), so too (despite what the Bible says) might we abandon the tribalisms that lead one group to claim superiority over all others, tribalisms that are in effect unholy nationalisms that have had and continue to have lethal consequences. We should, I think, give up the myth of divine election, a myth that has caused so many walls to be built and wars to be waged between members of our human community rather than uniting it."

It’s war. Stop holding Israel to a different standard than you would hold any another country. Obvious antisemitism is a bad look.

My stepfather was jewish. Therefore for years I went to services on Friday night. Then for coffee and treats at a very dear friend's. Young and stupid me one night asked why are y'all God's chosen people? The 20 or so grownups gathered around the kitchen table started laughing as they told me "because we wrote the Book".
This is a logical outworking of CRT and years of cultivated stupidity. Jews should have fought against it when the ire was focused on Karens and white guys in dirty pickups. If you look white, you are white, and Jews look white.
What we're seeing now is not just the Left behaving in their usual unhinged manner. We're also seeing a white population who got hung out to dry and have nothing to gain by defending left-leaning Jews who fought for years to achieve our current multi-cultural paradise.

Israel has absolutely no choice but to try to eliminate Hamas. They just announced yesterday, that they are going to do 10/7 over and over again until all Jews are killed in Israel. That is their stated goal, in fact it is in their charter. It is sad for Palestinians that they voted for terrorists who are using them as human shields, but make no mistake, Israel has no choice because of Hamas' actions.
