Since you live in Egypt can you explain in more detail why and what you do or don't support, how you view America, what you think of foreign involvment in the middle east from different nations not just America and what people there commonly think overall.
There is a point to it even if no one else can see it I can..(that doesn't mean I'm right)
I see once a country that really did have many choices becomes free where the people have a voice like voting and freedom of religions...ect....Life start to become meaningful....life has more opportunities when you have choices. Humans are probably the last mammals on earth that would rather be trapped than have total freedom (if any animals or mammals do)
I'm probably wrong but I still believe it's a honorable decision to free these people and remove them from dictatorship. With that they have a long way to go before they will all be happy because of this.
I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but it seems like everyone automatically says they support the troops under any circumstances whatsoever. If there were a draft, I think I could understand this attitude. But this is a volunteer military that's basically choosing to participate in a war that most Americans don't support. Isn't there a disconnect here somewhere?

That would be fine if that were really our purpose there, but everyone knows it isn't. If we were so worried about giving people freedom and removing them from dictatorship, we would have invaded China. Instead, we coddle the communist dictatorship there and give them our jobs.
what if the President or governor uses troops to force people from their homes,to stop a protest,to disarm a populous?Would you support the troops no matter what?
See...........if remaining silent against a government that is misusing troops for the sake of "supporting the troops" is not being very patriotic in the end.

You didn't feel like you answered your self? Your going by the assumption most Americans are right....when it could be the opposite. Supporting the troops mean you back them because they are on the job. What job they are doing is left up to the commander and the commander and chief. Why punish them?

Are you in an alternate universe? Your making wild accusations.

but under that assumption you can't question Bush or any president who sent troops because that undermines the troops...
