I think you're making something out of nothing. Maybe girls your age are less racist than girls in the past so they are looking at black men as mates in ways they did not 20 years ago. Maybe it's exactly the same and you just happen to know a few women who like black men. Maybe it totally does not matter if more women like black men. Would you start a thread asking why so many blue eyed girls seem attracted to blue eyed boys? Of course not, b/c their eye color does not matter. If they have a preference for eye color, who cares. But b/c it's skin color, you seem to care.
Oh, how very proper and correct your outlook is on the situation.... But your correlation between eye color and skin color is unfounded. Skin color is certainly a larger issue because unlike eye and hair color it has very much to do with ones culture and worldview, most of the time. I like how you think people can simply absolve themselves of any type opinion made on them because of their skin color... There are qualities of black culture, white culture, asian culture, etc... all of which others and myself enjoy and dislike to certain extents. You are trying to paint this as a racist thread but it certainly isn't going to happen so you may as well stop. The OP asked a very clear question, there was no bias and there was no subliminal message.

To OP:Its called television! Teens and young adults learn what to do from t.v why you think a certain people try and control what goes on tv? they see celebs dating nonwhites and things of that nature and thing oh its kool and its ok to do that.

I mean seriously what is going on? Im 21 years old so this is coming from a young white women's perspective. Yes there are some black, hispanic, or asian girls attracting to white men, hispanic, and asian. And yes there is a percentage of asian girls who go for white guys.
But OMG whats happening with these young white girls my age and black guys. Is that all most of them want. One of the girls who I was in highschool with I remember told a black male classmate. Quote '' We want some black guys''.
Like their about to get a buffet or something. I would date a nice young man of any race. But some of these girls literally go hunting for black men? Do black women, asian, or hispanic women. Go crazy over any type of race of men. Like some white women do.
It's always been that way, lucky for them they won't be looked down on nor will the black boys be whipped and lynched.

I don't feel your post has anything to do with what I said. Of course skin color has more ramifications than eye color. My point is not that it doesn't, but rather that it is simply more obvious and some people care more. Do I care if I see a transracial couple? Or 20 of them? No I don't. The OP does for some reason.
As to the redneck comment....this is not at all the same thing. You missed my point. My point is that people are assuming white girls are influenced by hip hop and therefore like black men. Why are you assuming this? Why are you not assuming that white girls see more black men on Wall Street or as doctors than they used to and THAT'S why they are looking at the differently. You flat out say I'll hear hip hop in the ghetto? Yeh, I don't doubt this. My question is why you think the men being referenced (or the women) are from the ghetto. Why are not assuming they are college educated? To assume they are from the ghetto just b/c they are black? That's my problem with what you say.
Do I care about this subject? Yes, I do. I am white. I adopted a black child. So yes, I do take offense to assumptions made. If a white woman marries my black son, will it be b/c she likes Hip Hop??? I doubt it. Maybe it will be b/c he met her in college and they have similar interests and happened to be attracted to one another. Maybe it will happen much as it would happen for two people of the same race.

There is nothing wrong with cross-race dating and breeding behavior in this multi-race, multi-culture, diverse society we live in today. If gay people can marry and get the rest of the country to officially recognize it, it's open season for kind of behaviors. Now let's address the "Why". There could be a number of reasons.
1. Young people tend be rebellious against the authority, their parents, society, etc. And they do so by drinking, doing drugs, engaging in promiscuous sex.
2. Young people are impressionable. As someone has mentioned, they pick up many unusual things and ideas they see glamorized and romanticized on tv.
3. Black guys have big penises. Some of you are thinking it. I am saying it. Older gals might scold at the idea. Remember we are talking young, impressionable people here.
Feel free to add this seminal list if you have other ideas.

Be nice and don't get me in the middle of an inner state hate feast. I was born and raised in So Dak, and have lived in California for many years. Both have their good and bad points.
From what I have seen in my travels, there are NO bad places to live, just different places...
