If it were up to bush, there would be no oxygen to get!
As for the McCain/Palin ticket...it's like a ticket to a circus side show.

He presented his plan to Congress. Spending bills originate in the House of Representatives and are passed to the Senate for approval. Once approved, they go to the President to be signed. Anyone with a basic understanding of our government should know this.

On the other hand, the less Bush does, the better.

Quote:
Section 7. All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; if he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.

That's OK. Let him be.

Every time Bush has an idea, it ends up costing the taxpayers a lot of money.

Perhaps the reason Bush doesn't seem too concerned about the impending financial catastrophe is that it is all a bunch of baloney.

I've been thinking that after "working hard" to privatize Social Security, Bush wasn't able to deliver the trust fund to the guys in the investment houses (you know the ones that made "bad decisions"), so he decided to just rob the Treasury and deliver the loot to Wall Street with this bailout.

I wouldn't put it past these crooks.

I don't vote for seditous socialist bailout backers like McCain. Palin supports the bailout too so she's also a socialist.

You're batting 0-2.

I appreciate the offer to join your lil' Lenins. No hard feelings?

Whatever the reason, some economists think the same thing. They don't believe we need to do this bailout.

Bush riding a bike and planting trees?! What a stupid waste of time... he should have IV's for water and nutrients coming out of a back-pack and a mechanism to constantly stimulate his nervous and muscular system so he does not require rest.

Yeah, it's pretty rough to request someone work the entire weekend when the economy is collapsing.

90% of the people on this forum seem to know what he should and should not be doing, so why not just let some of his pals in the white house cover him for a few days?
