Does anyone know if any economists were involved with writing this bill? I can't find anything that proves there were or weren't actual economists (Paulson and Bernanke don't count since they have a stake in the deal) involved with the writing of the legislation.

The proposed text doesn't suggest anyone wrote it at all... given the impact, it's rather sparse.

Yet another fine Texan in congress....I am very proud of the Texas House Republicans as they were the first to oppose the bill and banned together...the country may call us slow but we were the first to oppose and then the majority of fine Republicans serving people across this Great Nation joined forces...Thank you for voting it down once and please hold steady to your vote in your hour of privacy....

Would that mean the text is mostly rumors? Or, perhaps, toilet paper pulled off the bottom of shoes...? or else where

Maybe just Pelosi's speech? Funny to hear them blame it on House Republicans. Sounds like they think it's the only working party in Congress.
