With so much political hub-bub going on these days I am seriously re-examining my dedication to politics on all levels. I may be the exception here (I hope so, at least), but I feel woefully under-informed when it comes to the performance and voting records of our elected leaders at the local, state and federal level. I have (conveniently) dubbed the process of gleaning information about these officials as too inconvenient and time-consuming… visiting various (partisan) news sites, trying to distill facts and truth from propaganda and emotion, checking on congressional voting records, etc... and it takes a lot of time and effort. While I would rather play with my daughter and socialize with my wife, I think it’s time to start monitoring my representatives more closely! With that (rambling) set up, I ask you… Have any of you found a convenient non-partisan source for keeping up with your elected officials?

How do you keep up with what happens in local, state and federal politics? I don’t want interpretation; I don’t want editorials… just the facts.

Any recommendations?

Anyone else feel similarly?

Dont' see why this was moved! I want to know about local politics and State politics as much as politics at the federal level!

That's a great question. In my case living in S.Florida where tens of millions are missing yearly and close to nothing is done correctly.

I pretty much get an idea what they are doing and up to.

On a local level, attending City Hall meetings is a good way to keep informed.
On a state level, bookmark their respective web sites.
You can also attend local meetings of your preferred political party.

Yeah, I know, spending time with your family is more fun and at the end of the day....much more fulfilling and productive. Thanks for being a great family man!!!!!! It's a lost art.
