OK, we give all these failed institutions BILLIONS of our tax dollars in big WELFARE checks....the people working for these companies keep right on partying big time, the FAILED execs take home huge wages for being failures.

Does anyone know if anything will be done to these execs who FAILED at their jobs and have cost us BILLIONS?????

Will they be jailed? Replaced by similar leeches?

Will we, the taxpayers, be able to see what they're paid?

I'm not going to excuse what they did or say that any of what's happening is fair or right, but one question has to be asked - did they break any laws? If so, I say nail 'em to the wall. If not, then I doubt we'll see them suffer any repercussions. Either way, I'd like to see them get dragged through the court of public opinion, in a very personal and vengeful way.

Agreed! There are alot of torch and pitchfork liberals in here that are willing to destroy a greedy, law-abiding CEO than they are a serial rapist.

"law-abiding" is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

STEALING 800 billion of taxpayers money because they FAILED at their job is not breaking the law....there is MORE to life than not breaking the law. You can cause great harm in this life without breaking the law....it doesn't make it right as repubs seem to think.

AND, if WE bail them out shouldn't we see what is done with OUR money?

Shouldn't there be an investigation to SEE if they committed a crime....or just ignore it because THEY are RICH so deserve their WELFARE CHECK ???

Unlike the Bush administration views, I think Americans should be able to see exactly where our money is going.

Providing debt relief to a corporation, and by association the managers, too big to fail is not WELFARE it is economic necessity to prevent the SYSTEM from collapse.

Get real this system collapsed for most of us a couple decades ago. This class is under the protection, but not the constraints, of our Law.

OK, I think we can all agree that "serial rapists" are worse than "greedy, law-abiding CEOs". So what's your point, that we should ignore bad behavior because there's always something worse, or 'technically' they haven't broken any laws? Oh, and let's just ignore that these guys are robbing you blind, instead look over here at those crazy "torch and pitchfork liberals"...!

How amazing that even as the so-called "free market" thieves are making off with the silverware, the drapes, and everyone's life savings, we still have these "shills" and "apologists" and "distractors", who are always so eager to enable their amorality and greed (or are those the new "family values"?).

Excuse me for a moment while I go get my pitchfork and some matches....

Stealing is in the eye of the beholder, failing is in the eye of the beholder... your words are disintegrating.

Is that in the terms of the contract? If it is, then certainly!

There needs to be charges brought against them... you have any ideas? I am so sick of you armchair warriors waving your cane at the greedy corporations simultaneously refusing to provide a logical approach to solving the problem... this whining and crying gets nothing accomplished. I would certainly support investigations but you need a basis first. Let's devise a structured approach if you truly are interested.
