Iraq was religiously moderate before we attacked them unprovoked.

Ignore how many Saddam murdered of course....

Is it worse to be murdered because Muslims dislike your faith than say because you are a Kurd?

This is a very sad situation that unfortunately America will need to intervene. Like Vietnam, the Iraqi Christians will need to be brought out as refugees. Even reasonable Iraqis are strongly influenced by their religion & murdering fellow citizens [after torture] is beyond what America can do to resolve.

Yes, President Bush has left our nation in terrible predicaments. The cost to Americans for this foolish but tragic war is yet to be fully realized. Bush & Cheney are leaving DC in just a few months but their many plunders\ criminal acts will be a huge burden to bear

Sadaam murdered a lot of Shia when they tried to kill Christians. He also killed them when they tried to practice their Fundamentalist Islamic faith, and he killed them when they tried to overthrow him. Now they are murdering and chasing Christians out of Iraq. Is that better?

People like to cite Saddam's violations of UN sanctions as adequate justification for Bush's invasion after all his other allegations were proved to be lies. Where was the UN when all this was going on?

Nowhere in the Constitution is the US Government tasked with being the guardian of the world. Protecting America is its #1 priority, the Iraq invasion/occupation has contributed little/nothing towards that goal.

Saddam also did a pretty good job keeping al Qaeda out of Iraq, the enemy we were allegedly going after.

If Al Qaeda was in Iraq, they made sure they weren't seem or heard - they knew Sadaam would kill them. Even though Iraq was subjugated to US sanctions, for no really good reason, they were still relatively stable.
