As Congress heads into a lame-duck session to debate aid to the auto industry, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he supports the bailout for the Big Three automakers backed by President-elect Barack Obama -- but only if the industry reforms itself.
Confusted. Why the emphasis on Arnie agreeing with Obama rather than simply stating the fact he supports the bailout?
Im glad ya didnt go there, but I read the title and was expecting an Arnie is a liberal Democrat communist rant.
As for bailing out. NO good answer. Pony up 50B today which may not work or ?200B?over the next 2 years in extra unemployment and welfare. Pick one. Unemployment in MI at 20+%, OH at 14% IL and MO at 12%...
Do you think that the CEO's of these companies would be willing to do what Lee Iacca did when he asked for a loan for Chrysler....and he paid it all back as well....perhaps the CEO's should take a serious salary cut or certainly a freeze; if they want help they have to make some sacrifices too...
