Liberal media hits hard on China, Russia, Islam, Christians especially Christian conservatives like Mormons, industrialists, farmers or states like Texas?
Mormons are openly persecuted in the Salt Lake City Tribune, such constant flow of hate speech against a liberal-friendly religion would never be permitted.
Could you imagine a paper in New York City bashing Judaism or Catholicism every day of the week, accusing them of every problem in town?
Have liberals achieved any success in their cities in terms of social equality and tolerance?
Has America become less dangerous, safer, more equal since they run it?
How does advocating elitism help with tolerance and social equality?
New York City, Detroit, Los Angeles, the cities of gangs, murder, poverty and drugs.
Show me what you have achieved so far.

Sweetie, until you actually come & live here in our country, leave your assumptions to France please. Why you're so concerned about liberals I have no clue, but your assumptions are off base, to say the least. Bonjour!

I think you need to pay closer attention to which side liberals are on, and why, before you judge their stance.
Liberals are against mormonism not as enemy of religion grounds, but on the basis of children being married into the system against their will (because they don't allow any other choice in that structure).
Liberals are against china based on human rights and parity of pay issues, which creates worldwide problems when those who do have economic equality are forced to compete with indentured servitude schemes. Chinese people aren't the major beneficiaries, walmart takes the lions share of the fruits of their labor.
Liberals are against agribusiness getting corporate welfare and further pushing out family farmers because they can't compete (and are underpaid for the fruits of their labor).
Liberals are against islamic fundamentalists in all the ways that people of islam are oppressed by top down heavy handed dictatorship.
Liberals are against christian conservatives and catholics who try to impose religious doctrine through legislature or judiciary arm.
Liberals defend homeowners from eminent domain intrusions.
Liberals are against any entity, government or commerce, that would usurp the power of the people (through undermining ballots, warchest, denying people rights, denying justice, denying anyone equal pay)
Liberals are against judaic fundamentalism for same reason islamic fundamentalism. Extreme fanatics resorting to tactics that are contrary to human rights are abhorred.
Liberals support unions because they've insisted fair wages for work produced.

The common theme of liberals is to preserve individual rights as much as possible. They agree with socialist applications for universal ailments when pooling resources makes more sense, however, libertarians and constitutionalists disagree with liberals on individual rights vs burdened by common good issues. Basically saying, let all take complete responsibility for themselves, gov't shouldn't have responsibility.

Doesn't matter who they take issue with (individual/org/corporate) so much as on conduct, but it always has a common theme.

And yes, there are papers in NY who bash judaism on the basis of their unhappiness with america defending israel and UN ineptitude. Those are generally conservative bashers, along with extreme right wing factions who wish to eliminate judaism from religious spectrum. NY'rs tend to pay them less credibility for hate, but can agree solutions need to happen.

Conservative media hits hard on China, Russia, Islam, Mormons, on the basis of un democratic structures still in place, non capitalist controls, against religiousity endorcing statitory rape, against lslamic fanaticism sponsoring terrorism.

So, liberal left and conservative right agree on many things, it's just the basis of their beef and the method of solution that they disagree.

Have conservatives achieved any success in their cities in terms of social equality and tolerance?
Has America become less dangerous, safer, more equal since neo cons run it?
How does advocating neo con elitism help with tolerance and social equality?
New York City, Detroit, Los Angeles, the cities of gangs, murder, poverty and drugs.
Show me what conservatives have achieved so far.

Hm? Could it be they were maybe both?

If they weren't progressive the Revolution wouldn't have happened.

Great post and explanation, Harborlady!
I would only add that true conservative (not the W neocon or fundie based republicanism that is more common today) thought agrees with all the points you listed -- except of course for the socialism

Our race relations are miles ahead of most countries in Europe, you have to admit.

Do you think a North African would ever become President in France, Frenchman?
