IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

do you give this glorious time of year precedence over everything else? I figure Wednesday's could be open for politics. Every other day and night either has a game on, or an analysis show about the games on. It's the best time of year.

Let's see, your subject title is "Will football take your mind off politics"? Given the correlation of football to brain damage, I'd say yes!

Only if Colin Kaepernick, and his crew of dissidents either don't get hired, or stop "protesting" on private company time. Also, if Bob Costas stops preaching about more gun control, on Sunday Night Football. What a little TOOL!

Nope not unless I've got a helmet and shoulder pads on. Can't stand watching football or any other form of "professional sports"

Love football season. Both college and NFL. Thank God for seasons because I don't have to worry about yard work come the middle of October. It will definitely take my mind off of politics since there won't be any ads running this year like last year.

I have never understood the fetish some Americans like the OP have for football. IMO, getting excited at the thought of watching grown men playing a child's game is weird in a mentally ill type of way. All professional sports could disappear overnight and I would barely notice.

I hate sports. I'd rather watch water evaporate. When my mom has watched baseball I have been known to root for the other team just to mess with her since I get so bored.

The only thing that will take my mind off it or relax me is a vacation. I don't know when that is happening though.

I didn't even like it as a child. I liked playing tennis and bowling (I also love mini golf) but I always hated gym. It helped that I sucked at it although I'm not really good at tennis but it was an okay game to play.
