The Associated Press: $14 billion auto bailout dies in Senate

The more things change, the more things remain the same.

The South should rise again...............only to kiss the North's A$$!

meanwhile we can give almost a trillion dollars to a bunch of rich bankers on Wall Street.
Mr Shelby you prove what most Americans expect out of Republicans.
You do not care about the working person.

Fitting in a way that the 110th Congress effectively comes to an end with the nation's interests being frustrated by a Republican filibuster. One last procedural disgrace for them to answer for in the history books...

Good for the Reps and the few Dems who did not support injecting tax dollars into an industry that continues to shoot itself. However, I do expect President Bushobama to keep kicking this dead horse because no one wants dead livestock stinking up their Administration.

All indications are that Wall Street will do some skydiving this morning but there's nothing new about that.
