You will eat, bye and bye,
In that glorious land above the sky;
Work and pray, live on hay,
You'll get pie in the sky when you die

"The Preacher and the Slave" written by Joe Hill and song to the melody the hymn of Sweet Bye and Bye.

I think this is the crux of the Conservative vs Liberal view of social justice. Conservatives are opposed on depending on government for their needs instead praying for paradise in the after life, while liberals would rather have their cake a bit sooner than judgement day.

Just a thought to get the week off to a good start.

I agree. Yahweh is a dictator. He owns us all, and we have to worship him and follow his every command with no say in the governance. And when we die, we get to continue groveling for eternity.
