"At one stop, [Joe] agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel."

Actually that's very smart PR. Good for Joe's agent.

If they'd said that he was going to be a war correspondent reporting on the War on Christmas, that'd actually make more sense.

Methinks it is a Republican plot to get rid of him in the war zone. They do not want him to resurface again.

I am guessing he will be the GOP's nom for 2012.... right along side Palin... What a tough decision that will be.

I think this is a very smart decision. His backers will milk it for all it's worth - videos everywhere; a new "book;" promotion on radio, television and his and other websites; and for the dear short-memoried Base it'll become part of the JTP legend - Voice of the People. War Correspondent. Defender of the Holy Land. Teacher - he explains in a video or series of videos how to prepare your TV for the digital transition - what better way to put across someone as a kind, helpful authority figure?

These people know how to play the Base, the little Rovians. I absolutely can see Joe as the flag-wrapped Republican Senator from Ohio in 2010.
