(AP) DETROIT - Sen. Bob Corker says he doesn't regret voting against a bailout for General Motors and Chrysler last month because he and other Republicans had their own plan to help the carmakers succeed.

Corker came to Detroit on Tuesday and met with GM officials at the North American International Auto Show.

Way to go Corker, vote down a paltry couple billion while at the same time crawling around Washington DC, lobbying on your knees and begging fellow Wall Street sycophants like a two dollar Tijuana hooker looking to score votes for a 700 billion dollar bail out. You are no conservative Corker, you're a sell out and a disgrace to the fine state of Tennessee.

Said he had his own plan, sure he did, like total destruction of the UAW.

Yeah, that is because Tennessee makes a number of cars, but none of them American. While American auto companies need to seriously get their act together, they shouldn't just be cast aside while at the same time giving a free pass to the mess in Wall Street.

I'm hoping that Bart Gordon of District 6 will run for Senate one of these days. While he is a Democrat, he is conservative Democrat of a very mild flavor.

Conservatives for Corker: Corker Lobbies House In Support of Bail-Out

You are too kind to that low life. In the 80's GM put in a 3.5 billion Saturn plant in Spring Hill Tennesse. I think in every state where there was an unfriendly Politician (think Senator but could apply to Congressmen) that has an assembly plant or factory for engines and so forth the UAW and Management should stand shoulder to shoulder during the coming elections to rid us of vermin like Corker.

The Plant Manager and even the CEO should appear at each plant and union hall with the National President of the UAW together and tell the employees that some free time off will be granted on a 3 to one ratio. You give 3 hours we give you 1 hour off for every hour you work on the campaign of, say Corker's opponent.

I would as CEO of Ford, GM and Chrysler also tell the employees that we will pack up the plant, all the equipment and move it to one of our many shuttered plants around the country if the targeted Republican (or Democrat) is reelected. I would say that is one hell of an incentive. There is no shortage of real estate already owned by the companies.

GM only, there is the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green KY, that is McConell, nail his ass in 6 years. Here in Texas, (Arlington) we have the only operating full size SUV GM plant left; Cornin and Hutcheson, peg their ass. You get the idea.

What with all the employees (many thousands in every community and state where there is an assembly plant) in both the plants and suppliers working as campaign workers the scum bags would not have a chance in the election.

The CEO's need to have a golf weekend together with the National UAW President and get this plan in place so after the dust settles and they are no longer fighting for day to day surrival the Management-Union teams can work to bring the bastards to their knees. If we can quit playing defense and go on offense it would be great for the country.

Its one thing to stand on principle and not vote for the auto bailout. Its another to vote against 30B for the car guys while giving the Wall street guys 700B AND THE WALL STREET GUYS ARE RESPONSIBLE for alot of the mess the auto guys are in.

TOYOTA IS LOSING MONEY THIS YEAR thanks partly to the Wall Streeters.

Yes GM would be losing money this year if the economy was like 2006, but it would not likely be the near death experience of now.
