The folks who swing elections have taken a look at the plan and decided it isn't the change they were looking for.

"However, support among unaffiliated voters has fallen. A week ago, unaffiliateds were evenly divided on the plan, with 37% in favor and 36% opposed. Now, 50% of unaffiliated voters oppose the plan while only 27% favor it."

As of yesterday, registered voters favor Democrats over Republicans 2:1. I guess he'll just have to struggle through with soft support from the undecideds.

Maybe the Independents pool is shrinking and the democratic pool is growing?
