Politicians goals( democrats and republicans) are to get votes by whatever means necessary so they can : A. Remain in power. B. Serve the special interests who support them. C. Enjoy the perks they receive. That is much more important than keeping the country run properly. Collectively they have just about brought the country into ruin and now the democrats party leaders are stepping up their attempts to finish the job. The democrats now seem obsessed with pushing us over the brink and if republicans are our last hope, we're in huge trouble. Obama seems to want to be the LAST US president, not just the first biracial president.

Politicians are in power, therefore they are capable of doing some things right: lying, cheating, stealing, and, when necessary, killing.

Shame on whoever isn't an anarcho-capitalist like me. If you vote, even if it's just for a lesser of several evils, you're only empowering the same irrational and immoral system you're now complaining about! Paying taxes is evil also, but we all know what the consequences of resistance are...

I fear Ron Paul, if elected, would not live long. He wants to abolish the Federal Reserve system. John F. Kennedy tried the same thing, we all know what happened to him. These bankers have more power than we give them credit for, and they're not above using that power to off someone who tries to take away that power.

Democrats and Republicans are nothing but flip-sides of the same coin. They are all con-artists that somehow manage to deceive the populace into believing that they are somehow upholding the principles in which constituents believe. Has anyone noticed that their ideas seem to differ less and less, but the amount of partisan bickering remains the same? It's all part of the illusion. Let's face it America, we, the people, have been duped!

Politics and solutions are not the same thing. Politics involves getting elected, getting re-elected, and doing favors. People who engage in politics can sometimes provide solutions, but not often.

I would fear him because he is a dangerously misinformed whackjob.

Could we make at least some attempt to remain grounded in fact? JFK made no attempt to get rid of the Fed whatsoever. Executive Order 11110, the usual source of this bit of insipid internet fraud, was one of several steps in the process of replacing silver certificates with Federal Reserve notes for smaller denominations. Anyone could look it up...but then again, why ruin a perfectly good story...

I would say government shills hate him so much because he threatens their job security.

Funny how speaking with education and diplomacy are considered "whackjob", but sweeping a crowd with an AK and a drum mag is considered sane behavior.

LOL. Ron Popeil is more significant than Ron Paul. Popeil at least is a guy who understands how grass-roots economics actually works...

I don't know who Ron Popeil is, but if he hates Bush enough, he could qualify for a Novel Prize in economics too.

Some more "sanity" from our politicians...

Has anyone been badmouthing Ron Popeil? I hope not! No entrepreneur should be insulted by being compared to a politician, ever.

That said, the truth that Ron Paul has been able to inject into the election primaries was nonetheless an accomplishment.
