Oh gosh... I got caught. Well, I can't back out of the contract now, it would cost me more than I could make. Too bad, so sad. Don't tell the hypocrites.

Grown man, a seasoned performer, been around the music industry a long time, has business managers and advisers.

Well at least he admits it was his mistake, not trying to pass the blame.

Springsteen is not the sharpest anymore. But he may say one thing just to appease his fans and totally not care either way.

It's all about the money folks....just follow the dollars and you'll always find it easier to explain events. He's all apologetic now....but he's cashing the checks isn't he ?

I assume he's got all kinds of business managers, attorneys etc at his disposal and he can't figure out what Wal-Mart stands for ? I don't even own a business or have business managers etc, and I know that wal-mart is the last company I'd ever want to do business with....they will cut your throat for a penny and step right over your still cooling body.

If he says he didn't see this happening before he signed the deal....he's either a lier, or has his head in the clouds somewhere.

Remember that kathy gifford gal who inked a deal with one store or another to have her own line of cloths a few years ago. Turns out the cloths were made in some sweatship in indonesia using child labor etc... She of course cashed the checks and then plead ignorance about the whole situation. Why in the world would you lend your name to a product without doing due diligence....my god it's stupidity and/or greed period.

It's too bad he made that deal - he was quite a spokesman for awhile there. A legend...wish I had seen some of those 80s concerts at MSG or the Meadowlands.

A alway's liked Springsteen but until he backs out of this deal I won't I have any respect for him.....

People with integrity who make mistakes own up to it -- he did this but he needs to go one step further and make thing's right no matter what it costs him to do so.
