Unhappy Just like Roman empire before the fall: allow illegal immigrants to serve in military

Just another characteristic we have in common with the defunct Roman Empire as it was nearing the edge of the cliff.

They're not allowing illegal immigrants to serve, only legal ones with special skills.

Did you even read the article?

It also says this was done during the Vietnam war.

That is a good idea. There is no better way to assimilate into US than serving with Americans in US military. And of course it helps the military meet their quotas.

I think this is also a great way to fast track talented people who wish to become citizens - serve in the military and receive citizenship sooner.

So what?

I served with Brazilians, Brits, Peruvians, Italians, and the biggest surprise was a guy from Georgia.

We have never required US servicemembers to be citizens.
