The end result?
Can you say "The Greatest Depression!"
401k's gone.
Stock market crash.
Tent cities.
Famine.
Unprecedented job losses.
Aren't Americans free to worship whomsoever they choose? How does worshipping the President (which, somehow, I doubt is actually the case) lead to a Great Depression?

I don't see the connection. Or rather, I suspect that you've drawn a conclusion based on your own feelings.

Caused by Democrats forcing banks to give poor people without jobs mortgages.

See: Community Reinvestment Act

You see how this works.

Force banks to give poor people loans -> Poor people can't pay -> Blame banks for giving bad loans -> Force banks to lower principle on loans they didn't want to give -> banks lose money -> Recession ensues -> Blame "Amerkkkan Joo bankers!"

So much for the party of self acountability. Your claim has been debunked half a dozen times on this forum. Look them up. Any way Bush men were at the switch for 8 years. Did they fix the problem? Just like the Bush kept us safe except for that one day. Look through the threads. We have seen the petty video and have shown how deep the issue is.

Sorry, Americans worshipped McMansions, sleek cars and little plastic cards with magnetic strips on the back instead of God. Our materialism and our incredible inability to live wthin our means has caused this crisis. And as a society we never worshipped God, nor cared about what Jesus really had to say. We were never a truly christian nation--but that's for another thread.

May I recommend studying the book of Proverbs? Especially when it comes to money, it's very enlightening.

Wow...you have to go waaaaaaay down on that list before you even get to someone I respect, let alone consider a 'hero.' Pathetic.

If you put Obama ahead of Jesus, you don't know who Jesus is. Obama is doing an ok job but he needs more input from Bill Clinton. He is 'open' to ideas from both camps, but that is distracting him. He has already chosen the 'Clintonian path', which is fine, but learn from the master.
