This brings to mind Thomas Jefferson's quote about how banks can damage a country more than armies can....

Uh, I might have taken this guy's side but Bank of America sold us out on the illegal immigration issue so as far as I'm concerned, he's on his own.
Thank you so much for reminding us about BofA and the consulado matricular IDs and loans to illegals that BofA promoted. If BofA had been more prudent and more sensible in who they made loans to, there may have not been a need to ask the gov for bailout money.

Lewis just sunk his boat. Arrogrance and biting the hand that you are beholding to is in poor form. Seems Mr Lewis thinks he still has the independence he had when his company was profitable and not in trouble. He is toast.

I hope obama has the various agencies that report to him, his cabinet members, Commerence, labor, Securities and Exchange, Banking Comississon, Labor give BOA some much needed help. If there are problems thare is always the AG and Justice. I think Securities & Exchange might need to spend some time on Mr Lewis personal business too.

Bottom line, I love arrogrance in an adversary, and he became an advesary when he overestimated his importance. That SOB, I suspect is going to get a lesson in humility. Obama has already, (last week) told the lobbyest to F. off. Do you really think he is going to take shi+ from a tratior like Lewis. He and his selected corporate staff has done immesurable harm to this country. And he has the nerve to be arrogrant? In China he would already be swinging.

Um, yeah... because all of those other countries that are kicking our a$$ when it comes to educating their students don't have TV sets, cell phones, text messaging, twitter, the internet, etc., and have only intact families.

Considering the US has 50% broken family units and uses these things to divert attention and use as babysitters, other countries are doing better than the US.

Many other countries aren't as interested in immediate gratification as the US is.

The President of the Bank of America appears to be confusing his title with that of an actual head of state. What he really needs is a guarantee from the government that not one more cent of bailout money is forthcoming; from this moment, he's on his own. Then let's see how long he maintains his fightin' stance.

I'd ask for the bailout money to be returned forthwith.

Obviously, you've never seen how techno-gadget oriented Asian countries are. They can't even give the iPhone away in Japan because... "Japanese citizens possess high, complex standards when it comes to cellphones. The country is famous for being ahead of its time when it comes to technology, and the iPhone just doesn't cut it. For example, Japanese handset users are extremely into video and photos — and the iPhone has neither a video camera nor multimedia text messaging. And a highlight feature many in Japan enjoy on their handset is a TV tuner..."

The execs of failing banks who are living large are spending either the share holders' money or the American peoples' money. Obviously, they would not have this money to spend if their company wasn't doing well and making a profit. The incredible thing is, they are so narcissistic, they don't see a problem with it!

The whole time Bush was in office all these bigwigs made millions while the most of the hardworking backbone people who keep this country together lost their jobs and now their homes! How sad this was allowed to happen!
