Expert Tom Diaz says that imports of certain semiautomatic rifles were regulated under the first Bush and Clinton administrations.

Well isn't that just lovely

Drug prohibition creates gun violence so now lets ban the guns.Cartels have billions of dollars yet banning everyday American's from buying guns will stop cartel's from getting theirs.Hell, some government's are the cartel's in some countries.

Hey people.when Jose and the MS13 come to your town loaded with rifles you will only be able to use grandpa's ol' shotgun against them. But don't worry the goobermint will come and save you.....

duh ugh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notice they call him a "expert".Center of drug trade was in South America then also, not Mexico, all our war on drugs did was push the center of trade from one place to another, and now closer to our border. They can't say that American legal arms trade was the supplier to Colombia yet they got any weapon they wanted.

Everyone in the states close to Mexico need to be armed. Period!
Guns are nothing to fear take a gun class if you are afraid of them. People kill not guns.

The only new laws that I can see is an increased in surveillance at the borders to prevent guns from crossing over into Mexico... anything more than that is an attempt to subvert the rights of the people...

Yes, I'm sure those Cartels are buying grenades at gun shows and alot of their other military weapons. What a load. I'll bet most of those weapons are shipped from Russia etc. And so what if their "American supply" got cut off? Criminals will acquire weapons regardless. Let's not treat a symptom. Let's treat the core of a larger, systemic problem. When there's a gash in the ship's hull, you don't use cooks to paint the mast pretty colors.

If it's very dry and there are reports of arson and brush fires-- buy hoses and fire extinguishers . Keep 911 on speed dial and practice emergency techniques to manage the problem till the fire department arrives.

Same kind of thing , different potential problem.

Just say no to gun-grabbers-- AND --tinfoil wizards.
