We were just fine BEFORE, January 20, and we will be just FINE, as we are right now.

I have a question for you...

"WHY" does Obama have to "remake" this country, while he was elected to be a Steward, of our Country ?

I don't know how long you have been here, BUT HE AND EVERY ELECTED OFFICIAL, FROM OUR VILLAGES TO THE CONGRESS, WORK FOR US !

WE ARE NOT DEPENDENT ON THEM, AND WHAT THEY "THINK". THEY ARE OUR SERVANTS.

THEY ARE A SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE.

Default Obama is merely trying to prop up a dead system.

Obama is not really trying to remake it, but rather preserve what can not be preserved. Essentially the guy thinks this is 1933 again and all he has to do is try another New Deal. It won't work this time.

He will try the road of socialism by expanding are already quasi-socialist system to the point where we do go bankrupt.

There is a way out, but that road is one most Americans find too frightening. That road is the one marked LIBERTY.

He doesn't FOOL anyone, my Friend.

He is a mere transitory phenomenon.

Obama is irrelevant.

We are going through a fundamental structural change in how our economy is going to be ordered. It is beyond his control or anyone elses for that matter. The market will enforce real change no matter who is president.

And what does your crystal ball say will replace all these things that Obama is needlessly trying to preserve?

Why don't we start with the interstate highway system. What is going to replace that? Should we encourage Obama to obliterate highways because we are going to have flying cars or something and will not need them?

What does it matter anyways? If you want to believe what nbres has to say, you can also choose to believe that the world ends in 2012.

Slap on your tinfoil hats.

We are going to be moving things towards a new economy and it is something we need to do, however in order to get to that new economy we still need the infrastructure in place to get us there.

Well it was good enough for the Mayas. Funny how they were so omniscient yet died out themselves centuries ago ... oh well, can't let that little detail affect their credibility as geniuses, now can we?

It's like believing in voodoo. How come Haiti is one of the poorest and most miserable countries on the face of the earth if voodoo works?

This recession/depression is going to reorder things in ways that most o us can not even beging to understand yet, but for what its worth here is my take on things.

As I look into my crystal ball I see in death of the old economy a new economy emerging. The question is whether we are willing to say good bye to the old economy. Our government seems intent on saving the old economy through massive bailouts instead of just letting it go.

So what is the old economy; the print media, airlines, the auto industry, the big banks and financial institutions, even Hollywood, the Military Industrial Complex, suburban sprawl development and most of what goes with it, factory farmed foods, and even big government itself - including NASA, Social Security, the federal reserve, the interstate highway system, etc...all of which are unsustainable and unhealthy for us.

Sounds far fetched. Obama and company are desperately trying to preserve the old order. Perhaps they will, but what if they can't? What if we go completely bankrupt as a country? Where are we going to be then?

Think Green Collar jobs.
In fact I think LI will benefit greatly due to BNL/Stony Brook

As for preserving the old guard you know we need to keep the Dow afloat until we can retool the machine.

Perhaps if the
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kakfPNuLVl0 and his pals had a better idea it wouldve been put in play back in 9/08 when McCain scampered to DC to save the day. Just a thought.

Bottom line is that Obamas got a gun to his head, Im sure you didnt vote for him but for F-sake give him a chance.
Even the most liberal of liberals looked up to Bush on 9/12 and the most hardline conservatives looked to FDR after the 1929 crash.

Love him or not, Obama is your hope right now.
Pray for him.

Look if it doesnt work out we can always just go back to tax cuts for the rich and deregulation.
