Well, this is an embarassment. What happened to all the talk of 'hitting the ground running'?

The article doesn't say that Mr Brown is having difficulty contacting the White House. It says that they are having difficulty solidifying G20 arrangements for next month in London with the US Treasury Department because Geithner doesn't have his deputies in place yet. The criticism isn't of Obama's administration, but of the American transition of power that includes so many appointees, rather than leaving in place the old guard when a new President takes power. I don't know how this could be construed as embarrassing. Personally, I am proud that Americans can so peacefully transition power from one administration to the next, and if the rest of the world is slightly inconvenienced as the new administration assumes control, then I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but if a little inconvenience is the price for our peaceful transfers of power, I think it's a slight price to pay.

Have you considered how many appointments have to be filled? And how many of those appointments have to be approved by Congress? How long it takes to vet prospective appointees? How many other things he's had on his agenda? LOL.

IRS audits tend to take up time. "Hang on US economy I'll fix you.... just let me fix my finances first."
