When I read the thread title I thought the OP was referring to Columbia University.. LOL..

Speaking of which.. has the OP abandoned the thread? Has this become another one of those "post something sensational without understanding the real issues then abandon it" thread when the OPs cranial limitations is pointed out?

I do like Uribe and now that Venezuelans have voted out term limitations and with unfriendly leadership in Ecuador and Bolivia, we need allies in that region.

Uribe is just another of the dictators du jure we waste our time and resources supporting. We put him in power, we spend countless billions to keep him there and we just wind up being hated by everone but the Hildagos running the country for their own benefit. I guess we just have to keep the cocaine flowing.

Leave it to obama the appeaser and the democrats to shun our friends and allies and embrace our communist enemies.

Click the link to see all that Columbia has done for the US.

Why are democrats/liberals always, always on the side of communists and our enemies?
Its because liberal socialist share alot of the same ideas as the communists of course that didn't stop many republicans as well from these idiot ideas :-)
But I will ask why the push for cuba at this time and have we learned anything from doing business for more cheap labor from China.

The government just wants more managed "free trade" to find new ways to screw America and promote the globalist agenda. I'm for trade we just get the **** end of the stick most times because this is not about trade its about government control.
I can hear more jobs going to cuba next.
I would first ask why we are borrowing money from China, giving it to a miltary dictator in Pakistan Musharraf last year and then we promote democracy in Iraq. <---- something seems wrong here.
So the move to open talks with Cuba and I'm sure "free trade" is really no surprise with this government and it's continued actions over the last 20 years.
I think it would best not to have allies with anyone, get out of the UN, and Nato mainly because you create enemies if no reason. We can have trade and friendship will all nations and try promoting some democracy at home and following the constitution would be a good start.

Otherwise you end up policing the world which is not in the constitution and you end up bankrupt and half world has issues with your actions.
Example.. miltary aid to israel and then fund the Palestinians.
Anyone see where it says in the constitution? Where does it say my taxes are to fund these 2 countries, murders and killings?
While the Am,erican tax payer suffers from big government at home and promotes socialism at home and dependancy all arcoss the world.

mossomo -
I am intolerant of colonial aristocratic tyranny and their descendants. I am a strong advocate for individual freedom and equal opportunity for all. I am a friend of democracy, liberty and freedom. Democracy that includes all the citizens. Liberty and justice for all under the same law. Freedom from corporate, political and religious tyranny. Freedom to think as you will and have equal opportunity to education, life and happiness.

Colombia is another failed state where there is a complex Law protecting the Hidalgos and no law for the rest of the population. The Colombian dictator is not our ally. He and the class supporting him are out for themselves. They own the plantations growing the raw coca for the lucrative illegal drug industry as well as the plantations growing the legal coffee business. The lower classes in Colombia own nothing.

These people are so ignorant that they spend 2 minutes reading 1 article, form an opinion, stick with it and copy/paste it all over. These are the type of people, that I put in my famous "75%" category. Most americans are dumb and fall in this category.

WHO CARES???? If you make it your goal in life to proofread and belittle people because the misspelled a word, get the hell off the internet and become an English teacher....geeze!!! You **** liberals never discuss the facts of the OP, only to criticize other peoples spelling and personal attacks.

An excellent question we should ask ourselves in regards to our relationship with China. Money has a way of making a lot things tolerable and palatable no matter how discriminating. Example #1: the 2008 Olympics. All those corporate sponsors didn't seem to have any qualms about sponsoring such an event in a Communist nation.
