There are no green shoots. There is no indication of growth. There is only a spiraling down to a depression because our glorious leader has no clue about finances except to throw money at it.

You may have green shoots, whatever you want to call them, you may have temporary relief, but you are still in a world that's breaking," Taleb said on "Squawk Box."

Anything that's fragile like the financial system will eventually crash, he said.

"We're in the middle of a crash," Taleb said. "So if I'm going to forecast something, it is that it's going to get worse, not better."

The government needs to deliverance debt and not try stimulus packages that will inflate assets, he said.

"What makes me very pessimistic in not seeing any leadership or awareness on parts of government on what has to be done, which is deliverance $40-to-$70 trillion," Taleb said.

If we are in the middle of a "crash" its because of politicans, not despite of them.

Actually we are in a "crash" because of the housing bubble..remember? It's called the domino effect. Sure, the politicians should have seen it coming and should have regulated the banks more/better (but some politicians don't believe in that sort of thing).

Blaming the current mess on the current administration is just wrong.. it started before he was elected. Whether you agree w/ the methods which are being used to try to correct the problem or not, nobody really knows what's going to "fix" it. I'm sure there are many opinions on the matter from "experts", yet there isn't one consensus as to what it is. It's all speculation and educated opinion. It's always a crack up to me when some average Joe thinks they know the best way to solve the world's problems.

We're not in a crash because of a housing bubble, jesus, its the same thing over, and over...

We're in a crash over limited funding ability, primarily overnight borrowing by banks, who financed their day to day operations by borrowing short term rather than long term..

No we are entering a depression because of the bankers. We are entering it sooner than later because of government deficit spending.

Obama's declared that the stimulus was going to create 3 million jobs. Since he said those words, 2 million jobs have disappeared.

That is a declaration/reality loss of 5 million jobs.

Is there such a thing as a no confidence vote in regard to a sitting president?
