Iraqi who threw shoes at Bush jailed for 3 years (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090312/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iraq - broken link)
LMAO, still a funny moment in history.
A bad reflection on every Iraqi. If it were Saddam Hussein that he had thrown his shoes at, he might as well have thrown his hat also, because his head would have been rolling around on the ground many moons ago.
He demonstrated contempt towards , and physically attacked , a guest of his nation's elected leader.
Thus showing contempt for the whole democratic process . as well as the people who cast votes in the election , often at significant risk.
Three years is AMPLE time for a lot of 'sole searching'....hope this 'heel' gets to think things over, because when he gets out, he may have some problems fitting back into Iraq's 'strait-laced' society....and he'll have to take precautions to stay a 'step ahead' of the authorities, from now on. Hopefully, he'll be able to deal with whatever life 'throws at him'.....
Yes, that would have been a gem!
It's too bad the thrower has been jailed. That is much too cruel for tossing a shoe. A shoe wouldn't even have scratched the head. I hope that some activists get to work to get him out.
Funny thing is that it is Bush who made his prison sentence possible. Had he pulled such a stunt a few years earlier, he would have been tossed into a meat grinder.

3 years!
The one to get 3 years should be Bush, for lying about the WMD.
