You might as well hang around and wait for an Ishtar sequel or the return of the old "New Coke".

OK, but seriously, you know there aren't going to be any indictments. I know that's not what this thread is about, but that was your response, so we'll address that. It's not going to happen. This isn't about your side or my side, it's not about right or wrong. This country is governed by one party, and they're all in bed together. I hope you realize that.

One of two things must happen for this country to survive as a democratic republic and not a corporate owned fascist junta:

1) War criminals must be brought to justice
2) Laws must be enacted and enforced to insure these abuses (like the war on Iraq and the looting of the Treasury) do not reoccur.

#1 lacks the overwhelming support required for it to happen. There will always be 25% of Americans who want fascism in some form, and the media will insure their opinion is out sized and overrepresented.

#2, with the development of some kind of legal, bi partisan commission, should investigate what started the war, but most Democrats are too cowed by the Republicans, who will not only show their "patriotism" opposing it, they will attack their fellow Democrats.

A majority of Americans, however, would welcome such investigations. Our goverment is much too afraid for anything meaningful to likely result, but noise must be made regardless.

I love America, I dont love its government. Its been hijacked. Ike predicted this in 1961

The highlighted portion is a great example of what is wrong with this country. Blind partisanship. Notice you hold your party blameless, you have infantalized the democratic party to the point that they can be 'cowed' by a dismantled republican party. Why is that? Are you so afraid to learn the truth? The truth that blue/red, dem/rep are just labels career politicians hide behind? That corruption is bad regardless of who is doing the corrupting?
No wonder you identify so strongly with the palestinians -- they cannot/willnot see themselves for what they are, either.

I stopped reading at the word Palestinian. I don't have the slightest interest in their fate.

You are indeed right. This administration, I am afraid, is taking full advantage of the crisis we face and will have taken over more control, taken away more individual rights than the last 6 administrations put together. I only hope the American public wakes up before it is too late. I suspect though that the pendulum will just swing the other way in 4 years and we will once again be at the mercy of a new administration.

Paranoid nonsense. Just be thankful that McCain and Palin aren't at the helm. Then you'd have a reality-based reason to pray for recovery.

Holocaust concert draws anger in Palestinian camp (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090329/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_palestinians_orchestra_4 - broken link)

This exemplifies the ignorance and radicalism which has blocked peace efforts for so many years. Someone tries to do good, and to teach children to do good, and gets trashed for it. And these are the "moderate" Palestinians. Instead, they prefer training their children through programs like the popular Hamas' version of Sesame Street which teaches (successfully) children to murder.
Absurd, and just more covert Holocaust-denial crap from the Arabs. This was one small concert in honor of a select group of people who have already suffered enough horror in their lives. To politicize it, to cancel it, to denounce these victims, in a call for "eye-for-an-eye" justice is bull****.

Sorry but one man's nonsense is another reality, just ask the Palestinians and the Israelis. Duh!
