President Obama and the Democrats should wave the white flag in their strawman war on Rush Limbaugh. The Media Research Center delivered the grim casualty figures for the Democrats. Since January, the top talk show gabber's ratings have soared off the charts. Radio affiliates that carry Limbaugh's syndicated show call the ratings boost he's gotten from the Democrat's orchestrated attack on him a "dramatic surge."

Alot of the uptick in Rush's audience is from the center and left, who've tuned in for its "entertainment" value. Which is actually having the opposite effect: it's educating more and more people on how the Republican party has been taken over by crazies. Sorry.

I'm sure the majority of the left would like to dismiss the correlation between the WH attacks and the surge in Rush's ratings - unfortunately, it just doesn't hold water and really flies in the face of reason and the evidence.

When they hear what comes out of his program, they tend to be horrified, and become even more alienated--if they weren't already--from the right wing political viewpoint.
