Iraq, yes..

But afganistan DOES actually matter. The people that have and are trying to attack us, if you recall, origionate there. I'd rather spend billions there on a war than billions here on programs to take away our freedoms.

No, I'm not supporting the war to lower the unemployment levels but surely if you bring them all back simply to stop "wasting billions" then the effect would also need to be looked at.

If the government had a data base on every citizen and visitor to America they could monitor them all and watch for terroristic tendencies. Naturally, that would mean that secret agencies should be given the authority. All this would cost billions, but don't you think our safety is worth it?
None of this would have any effect on the really important things in our lives.

I kinda agree, but those guys were Saudi's not Afghans that drove the planes.
